Robert’s Shorts
Coming to theatres in August 2009 will be a new family flick from the director of SPY KIDS (oh, and frequent Quentin Tarantino collaborator), Robert Rodriguez…simply titled “SHORTS.”
IMDB lists the storyline as “A young boy’s discovery of a colorful, wish-granting rock causes chaos in the suburban town of Black Falls when jealous kids and scheming adults alike set out to get their hands on it.”
A cute kiddie sci-fi comedy, “Shorts” lands in theaters Aug. 7. 2009. It is also notable that Kat Dennings, James Spader, Jon Cryer, Leslie Mann, William H. Macy and Jimmy Bennett star.
As Helvetica (I believe), Jolie Vanier looks like a mini Christina Ricci – and a great future EMILY THE STRANGE? Hmmmmm….

Looks like a cute movie for the kids I teach. It would be a nice addition to our anti-bully curriculum if it is G. However, I imagine it is not G, and we cannot show anything else without written permission slips.
